Enkaustikos Carnauba Wax 16oz

All natural carnuaba plant wax used to increase paint hardness.

Enkaustikos Carnauba Wax is a light, pale yellow wax from the leaves of a palm tree. Add this wax to encaustic paint to raise its melting point.

Using Carnauba Wax will result in a harder, more durable paint film. Adding too much of this wax may result in cracking of the paint. Carnauba Wax is sold in thin flakes and melts at 187°–190° F (86°–88° C).
